This project from Growing Up Creative was written as a craft for kids, but calling it a ‘kid craft’ sort of suggests that it’s on par with gluing pasta onto paper, which it is not. I mean, I guess it could be, but in the right hands, the outcome is a lovely and sophisticated-looking art installation. To make your own toilet-paper-roll-flower wall art, you’ll need this stuff:
- toilet paper rolls (I’m guessing paper towel rolls would work too)
- scissors
- white glue
- stapler
- paint & brushes
- glitter (for the kid version)
- clothes pins
- (I’m thinking shooting the assembled shape with acrylic spray paint might provide a nice finish)
