I’m getting married in two months, so I’ve had wedding favors on the brain lately. There are so many options out there, but it’s difficult to please everyone. However, there are plenty of ideas out there that will not end up in the garbage. Here are 21 of my favorites that I’ve received in the post (or would love to get in the future!).
1. Olive Oil As a Wedding Favor
Almost every human being I know uses olive oil, at least occasionally. And with a beautiful presentation like this, who wouldn’t love it as a wedding favor?!
2. Copper Mug Favors
These copper mugs do triple duty as wedding favors, escort cards, and guests’ drinking vessels for the night. Mason jars or other glasses work well too.
3. Customized Candle Favors
Candles are crowd-pleasers, especially when they look as cute as this. You can order 12 for $54 over on Etsy.
4. Potted Herbs
Potted herbs are a fun idea and a gift that can keep giving. Guests can pick their favorite herb, and it will remind them of your wedding every time they grab a sprig to cook with.
5. Honey Pot Wedding Favors
Honey is another fairly universally loved gift… and it’s even cuter when it says something like “meant to bee.”
6. Signature Spice
This seasoning salt idea is just genius…
It’s a versatile mix that even novice cooks will love. Head over to Something Turquoise to check out the recipe and find inspiration for a DIY signature spice to be used as a wedding favor.
7. Succulent Escort Cards
These tiny succulents act as both favors and escort cards… and they add greenery to the tables once guests sit down!
8. Popcorn Bar + Take Home Bags
Popcorn is very on trend right now, so a popcorn bar with multiple varieties of corn is another fun option.
9. Hot Cocoa Mix
Similar to the spice mix, these creative hot cocoa mixes give guests something sweet for later. Head over to Green Wedding Shoes to learn more.
10. Something Salty + Something Sweet
Every couple has a sweet person and one that tends to be a little salty. Please, everyone by offering two choices… something salty and something sweet!
11. Candy Satchets
Practically everyone loves candy, especially when it’s packaged in such a beautiful way. Read more here.
12. BBQ Wedding Favor
If you’re having a Southern wedding or an informal BBQ, why not share some delicious BBQ sauce with your guests? They’re sure to love it!
13. Wedding Themed Coasters
Make a gorgeous set of coasters for each guest using colorful tiles.
14. Candy Bar
A candy bar is another fun way to make sure everyone is happy because they can choose their own treats.
15. Sapling Satchet (A mini tree)
A sapling is a great gift for any outdoorsy wedding… and it will help combat global warming at the same time!
16. Matrimony Macarons
Macarons are impossibly chic… and usually gluten free too, for those who can’t eat regular wheat-filled cookies!
17. Maple Syrup
Maple syrup (or other regional treats) are always well-received by guests.
18. Mason Jar Snacks
These nut-filled mason jars are individually customized—so cute! A few jars filled with candy are also available for those who don’t eat nuts because of allergies.
19. The Perfect Match
Customized boxes of matches are useful and oh-so-cute, especially with a phrase like “the perfect match.”
20. Let’s Jam
Jam, jelly or preserves all make great gifts… and again, a fun phrase really puts it over the top.
21. Champagne to Celbrate
And last but not least… mini bottles of champagne customized with beautiful floral labels makes the perfect finishing touch. [Photo: Madrinhas de Casamento]
The problem with the liquids is that guests who flew can’t bring them back through security 🙁 a lot of the others, like plants, would also be hard to transport for the return trip home.
Good point @but… it’s a good idea to consider how many out of town guests you’ll be having and what would work best for your particular situation.
