Kristi admits that this particular makeover isn’t the thriftiest, but compared to the $1,300 West Elm Inspiration pictured above, it is. To get the look, Kristi started with an IKEA Stockholm walnut veneer sideboard like this one:

Then she added to some brass strips and swapped out the chunky legs with those of the hairpin variety. This is what the Stockholm sideboard looks like now:
