This time of year means one thing and one thing only, as far as produce goes that is. It’s the beginning of apple season. Lucky for us, however, it’s pretty much apple season all year round. Whether it’s New Zealand Braeburns or Minnesota Honeycrisps*, there’s always something delicious to choose from. So, in celebration of that dependable–and yummy–fruit, I decided to surf the waves for how-to’s using them in decor projects. Here are some of the best:
The mini apple vases, pictured above, are from Toildrop, and I love, love, LOVE them, especially paired up with the spider mums. The how to is here.
This apple chair swag comes to us from The Bride’s Cafe. It would be a cute way to mark a special seat at the table for the guest of honor. (Via Shelterpop.)
These two ideas come to us from Martha. We’ve seen the votives before, but they’re still noteable. What’s new on this table, however, are the place cards, which are made using a bit of floral wire and green paper for the leaves. To see how to make each of them, follow this link.
This next centerpiece idea couldn’t be easier. I love the simplicity. All it takes is the right plate. I spotted it at House Beautiful.
Here’s another centerpiece that relies heavily on the container. It’s that lovely minimal/rustic thing that I happen to adore. Is said container diy-able? I’d say ‘yes’.
*We’re very proud of our Honeycrisps around here.
