Looking at these ‘before’ photos, it’s almost impossible to picture this subterranean space as the home of anything other than a few hundred man-eating spiders. Almost… until you throw a complete renovation and an awesome sense of style at the problem.
While we were busy making water walls and firefly jars, homeowners Anthony and Naomi Cataldo spent the majority of their summer gutting their basement, installing HVAC systems, and pouring concrete. The massive amount of work, sweat, and more work paid off – their dark and scary basement is now a sleek and modern den! The whole renovation is chronicled start to finish on their blog 21 Port, so hop over there for the full tale. And of course, a big ol’ “great job” to Anthony and Naomi!
