My mum doesn’t have a huge a sweet tooth, but my sister-in-law (who’s also a mum) loves sugar in a big way, so pretty candy wrappers come in very handy when spoiling her on Mother’s Day.
What I love most about these wrappers is that they’re super versatile – you can simply wrap the chocolate as a gift; write a message on the back of the bar and use the chocolate as a greeting card; or better yet combine it with your mum’s favourite treats in a gourmet hamper!
Materials
- Mother’s Day chocolate wrapper printable
- Black paper
- Scissors
- Double-sided tape
- Chocolate! 🙂
Step
Remove each chocolate bar from its outer cardboard packaging (make sure you leave the foil intact) and wrap it in a piece of black paper.
Step
Download out the Mother’s Day chocolate wrapper file, print it onto letter-sized paper and then trim it to fit the size of your chocolate bars.
The amount you need to trim (if at all) will depend on the length and width of your chocolate bar. My wrappers were a tad too wide so I cut about 0.75 inches (1.5cm) off each side to let the black paper show through at the ends.
Step
Once you’ve trimmed your chocolate bar wrappers, centre one on the front of your chocolate bar. Then flip both the wrapper and the chocolate over so that they’re face-down on the table.
Step
Apply a strip of double-sided tape to one edge of the back of your wrapper and use that to fasten it to the other side.
And that’s all there is to it – your chocolate bars are ready to bundle together with some of your mum’s favourite treats to give to her on Mother’s day!
