Great finds. LOVE that twiggy hand rail! (I'm a total sucker for the twigs.) Too bad when most people hear 'rustic' they think exclusively 'country', and yet the simplicity of it can be so modern.

Google found some hints on "crickets home", one of them has some steps that might help you too:
I thoguht that the baby gate post was okay, just pointing out about horizontal bars. I think that baby/pet gates are due for some style injection, after all. :)
