Tord Boontje's Rain or Shine Chandelier DIY-able???

Tord Boontije's 'lyrical reinterpretation of the chandelier' consists of a metal structure (I'm guessing the globe part--with tail--in the middle that houses the bulb) that is wrapped in crocheted cotton, organza, silk and fabric flowers. Call me crazy, but I think this could be reasonably replicated. AND for a fraction of the cost of the original which clocks in at just under 5 grand. *gulp*  Where would we start? Help choosing paint colors for family and breakfast room

Hi, I'm so happy to be a member of Curbly. I love this Web site so much. Thanks for all the help that you give to people like us. I have a big problem when deciding what paint colors that I should use to paint my family room and breakfast room. Also, I'm looking for some ideas for the wall that's under my countertop. Could you live in see-through house?

This all-glass house is the concept of Carlo Santambrogio and Ennio Arosio of Santambrogiomilano. It is an adjunct to their all-glass furniture sets, which would certainly suit such a dwelling. Dubbed the Bollywood Beauties Collection, these beaded drawer pulls from Atlas Homewares may look expensive, but in the world of fancy knobs, they aren't ($9.20 for the large size, $8.30 for the small). With some string, wire, beads, adhesive and some ugly old pulls they could even be DIYable. But I can't decide if I like them enough to go through the effort. How about you?
